Yoga for the Stages of Menopause
The stages of menopause include premenopause, perimenopause and post menopause. Most women will experience a range of symptoms associated with perimenopause during their 40s (some as early as late 30s others into early 50s). These symptoms can include hot flushes, joint pain, mood swings, irregular periods, poor sleep, night sweats, a sense of overwhelm, and brain fog. Not every woman experiences all of these symptoms and there are many other symptoms (currently 34) that can arise. Such symptoms are perfectly normal when the levels of hormones, oestrogen and progestrone are fluctuating before declining. However these symptoms also arise as a result of medical interventions such as chemotherapy causing early onset menopause for some women. This can have devestating consequences on women’s quality of life. The first step to improve your quality of life at this challenging time is to learn more about what is going on for you and understand why. Our next course has been extended to 6 weeks thanks to your feedback and costs €80 starts 18th Oct and is suitable for those who want to learn
– how to better understand this stage of life (no matter what stage you are currently at)
– techniques to help come to terms with the changing needs of your body
– how yoga and other resources can help you manage some of the struggles that arise
